Summary of Skills

Translation

  High-level translation skills from English and French into Greek, Greek and French into English as well as from Greek into English and French.

  Huge translation output in biomedical (medical instruments), biochemical (assays), biotechnology, technical (engineering, computer, manuals) and legal (patents, certificates) texts with proper use of terminology and language.

  Team coordinator for the ICF and ICF children classification translation into Greek. I have translated 3 books, one on Group Psychotherapy, one on Freud and one on areas important for birds in Greece for the Hellenic Ornithological Society. Great experience in translating psychological and psychoanalytic texts.

  Great experience in translating environmental studies, geographical, geological and biological studies as well as legal and medical reports.

  Experience in translating business, economics, finance and stock broking terminology as well as cultural, literary and media texts.

  Able to translate 2,000-3,000 words per day, with or without use of CAT tools.

Editing, Proofreading and Writing

  Editing, proofreading and mechanical reviewing.

  Responsible for the editing and proofreading of manuals and all kinds of printed and electronic text material. Included are programs of study, advisory and informative material published in booklets of between 50 and 200 pages.

  Responsible for the editing and proofreading of texts for publication and in electronic databases. Also responsible for the editing and proofreading of correspondence and progress reports.
