MACIEJ (MATT) GOLEDZINOWSKI, Ph.D. CAREER
OVERVIEW With a
Ph.D. (Electroanalytical Chemistry) and over 20 years as a professional
Research Scientist, my skills include scientific data/reports analysis,
collection and interpretation and the ability to translate
technical/scientific documents from/into English, Russian, Polish, German. My
experience covers development of rechargeable lithium batteries, chemical
trace detectors for national security and law enforcement applications and
research in fundamental and applied chemistry, particularly in the area of
adsorption and electrosorption of organic molecules and gases on solid
surfaces. As well, I completed advanced research in surface chemistry of
solid and liquid phases and a willingness to develop and implement
state-of-art technologies for chemical and analytical applications. CAREER HISTORY: |
|
1998 – 2007 |
SMITHS DETECTION (formerly Barringer
Research Ltd.), Mississauga, ON Research Scientist ●
Implemented the new methods for detection of trace
narcotics and explosives using ion mobility spectrometry. This created a permanent improvement that
satisfied market demands. ●
Modified and tested the existing ion mobility
spectrometers including portable detectors and walk-through detectors. This
improved detectability of narcotics and explosives and resulted in increased
sales internationally. ●
Developed and implemented explosive vapours
preconcentrator for portable and walk-through explosive detectors. This new product was implemented
successfully and ensured more thorough and efficient detectability. (The
version 3 is installed at the CN Tower.) |
