Tosoni Tamara Professional Italian Translator and Proofreader Translating from English, German, French and Spanish only
into my mother language Work
and training experience: Freelance
translator and proofreader since 1998: I translate from ENGLISH, FRENCH,
GERMAN and SPANISH ONLY into ITALIAN. (rates are discussable)
During these
last years I dealt with many international companies in the field of
translation. Here below, you can browse
a list of the major projects I have worked in (as all projects listed,
were/are mainly done through agencies I had to sign tons of NDAs, so if you
are interested in knowing the end-client, please send me a formal request and
I’ll forward you with the information). As new direct client, from Dec ’06, I
acquired Microsoft Ireland and signed a contract for the localization of
their videogames. The most interesting, up to now, has been Kingdom Under
Fire ŕ
http://www.kufcod.com Here my
experience in a nutshell: The most
challenging cooperation
– even if not a frequent one - is not pure translation but it is very
enriching. I do a sort of intercultural analysis for ads related to
products/services that have to be presented to the Italian market. Basically,
I have to write, for each campaign, a detailed report about all possible
cultural/anthropological differences noticeable in the proposed ad (Video or
print) and how effective/or not it could be on the Italian audience. Other recent
experiences related to translations include: ·
