Work Experience:

For over 30 years, before retiring, I served as telecommunication and power engineer of several Brazilian and multinational companies. My tasks also included translation (English > Portuguese < English) of specifications, contracts and manuals. At the present time, I only do technical translations.

Participating in telecommunication projects (microwave, high voltage line tele-protection and data transmission); substations and powerhouse projects; various power generating projects (Thermoelectric plants (Santa Cruz) and, hydroelectric plants (Itaipu, Marimbondo, Itumbiara, etc.).

Since retiring, I have been providing translation services for: Light Power Company (specifications of a hydroelectric plant); Shell (Environmental Impact Reports); Esso (Drilling Reports); Schlumberger Surenco S.A.; Thermoelectric plant of Companhia Energética de Petrolina (translation of specifications); Steam and gas power plants (translation of specifications for several companies).

I recently finished translation of steam-power plant specifications for a German company, supplier of equipment for steam-power plant to be constructed in Brazil.
